Inglot Haul & Swatches

So Inglot is all that it has been cracked up to be. im super duper impressed with these shadows. they are all so gorgeous and pigmented its so hard to choose which ones to pick!!! as i walked into the Inglot store i was surrounded by too many things i wanted to bring home - overwhelming doesnt begin to explain it!!

picking out a palette is SO FUN. you get to walk around and swatch anything you want, pick up the actual sample shadow and place it on a magnetic pan which you then hand to a sales associate who gets all your goodies together for you!

each shadow comes individually packaged, so when you get home you can arrange your palette any way you like. the palette itself is magnetic, and extremely durable. i have full faith that i will not have an issue with shadows falling out or the palette itself losing its magnetic strength or breaking. the packaging is VERY well made.

honestly, the camera did not do some of these shadows justice. a few of my shadows are jam packed with shimmer or glitter which the picture doesnt really capture. ::sad face:: but, the pigmentation and formula of these shades are amazing. buttery soft, extremely blendable, and a wide variety of different finishes and textures makes these eye shadows a new HG product for me. i can promise you i will be making another hour long trip to the Inglot store to get my hands on more of these babies. i have fallen in  love!

Ash...Where you been at?!

soooo....ive been occupied alot lately, more then i expected! contrary to popular belief, i did not, i repeat DID NOT fall off the edge of the planet ;-) i just wanted to hop on here real quick and let you know that i will be back with some super fun stuff tomorrow!! FINALLY, INGLOT SWATCHES!!! ugh, i cant believe it took this long for me to be able to share my goodies with you. i suck. 

also, some june favorites and maybe a haul or two?? we shall seeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

dont these look freakin delicious? i am in a wedding in august and i am going to MIAMI in less then amonth and i cant escape all the summer goodies!! everywhere i look there is ice cream and cake andcookies...not to mention all the delicious summer cocktails that i just cant seem to refuse. HELP MEEEEE!!!!!!!

Inglot Anticipation!!!

Yayyy!! Tomorrow, my makeup obsessed cousin and I, are taking an hour long trip to the nearest Inglot store to finally rip through that place like a tornado! I can't wait....I have been wanting to make an Inglot palette for SO LONG now, and I have put off making an online order because of all the swatch searching that goes into that process!

We are gona have a fun filled day of swatching, hauling, and bank breaking....and I couldn't be more excited!!!

Watch out for my haul and review of my experience and all the goodies I plan on making MINE!

i saw these as i was leaving CVS the other day, i was a little skeptical to pick them up because i thought that they would be pretty much the same thing as the quads Maybelline came out with last year. i actually picked up the green one and brought it over the those older quads to compare if it was the same colors. 

i have to say that these new Color Explosion Palettes and the older four pan palettes, i think they are called Color Icon - but i could be lying :-/ , have very different shades in them. i think these new palettes actually have some really nice unique colors...and not to mention, each palette comes with a sparkle shade!!! SO FUN.

Amethyst Ablazed - i wore this today and i thought that these shadows gave really nice color payoff, they blended nicely, and the sparkle shade was super fun to use and the sparkles lasted all day! As for a purple palette, its not too unique - but if you love purples or you dont have many purple shades these palette is nice to have. you can also create a ton of different looks using this one palette. 

Caffeine Rush - i love this one and cant wait to wear it. i think these shades are universally flattering and you can create a very nice day look or a deep smokey night look using just these colors. i wish the pictures captured the glitter shade more true to color and vibrance. believe me, they are so nice and creamy!

Forest Fury - i like this one because it has a nice range of greens, i really love that middle kelly green color! these shades are nicely pigmented and are very soft, not chalky. i am seriously loving that drugstore brands are really stepping up their game and are becoming honestly comparable to higher end brands. 

its super exciting to know that you can find SO MANY DUPES to MAC and other beloved brands by just walking up and down your local drugstore's beauty aisle. 

i took these FOTD pictures, about 5 hours after i did my makeup. staying power is super nice with these palettes.

~ there are also 2 more palettes that belong to this collection. Some blue based and a pink/mauve based palettes. i didnt pick them up because i hardly wear blue, and i felt like i have a bunch of dupes to the pinkish one. but thats not to say these didnt look gorgeous at the store.

NOTD- Essie Mochachino

I love this color! Picked it up at target the other day..and even though it isn't the most summery color I could wear...I just couldn't resist putting it on! Mochachino is a medium grey with shimmers and a slightly brown undertone.

I have had my eye on Essie's Chinchilly for a while now...but I think Mochachino definitely trumps Chinchilly...and I probably wont pick that one up now.

Inspire Me!

I LOVE this photo for SOOOOO many reasons. First, cupcakes are my thaaang. I bake them all the time, if there is any sort of cupcake apparel or accessory, ya best be knowin im comin home with it!! But the biggest reason I have a sweet spot for cupcakes would have to be my dog, Abby- also known as Shmoopy, The Shmoops, and My Cupcake Baby. When she was a puppy the first toy I got her was a stuffed cupcake with a squeeker and a cherry on top. She looooved and, brought it everywhere with her, slept with it, and tried to sneak it outside with her on several occassions. So, needless to say, cupcakes are my favorite.

This photo also makes me smile because one cupcake is vanilla and one is chocolate- which is hilarioussss to me because I am white and my boyfriend is black. HAHAHA. Love it.

We have been shopping around for houses lately, and if you have never been in the market to become a homeowner...I can tell you it is not fun! Omg im so overwhelmed at times! Lol but it is an overall good experience so I can't complain to much. We have talked about getting married for a while now, I know the ring is coming sooner or later...but who knows when that will be. Being a girl.....I can't freakin wait!!!!

I also like that the two cupcakes are connected by carnival style triangle flags...stereotypical sign of carefree fun! Frank, my lovebug, and I have an amazing relationship ...we have so much fun together...we share every experience and its everything I could ever ask for. I like to brag that we make people jealous. Is that cocky?! Lol whatevvvvvv

Inspire Me

This dress reminds me of something that would have made me feel like a princess when I was young. Its got all the bright colors a girl loves to wrap herself in and who doesn't love butterfies?! I don't think this is something I would choose for myself now, being 24, but I do love to look at this dress and remember that little girl I used to be. I think the butterfly gives me this sense of freedom, and the bright flowwy fabric screams FUN!

Essie Figi is a gorgeous creamy super pastel pink...I might even consider putting this in the nude category.
I blame Figi for my love of nudes and uber pale shades. Before I decided to slap this shade on, polishes on the lighter side never caught my eye. I was all about dark shades like OPI Lincoln Park After Dark or bright neons like China Glaze Pink Shock.
Thanks Figi, I have spent many a paycheck on expanding my nude and pale polish collection thanks to you.

How bout that ring!!! I picked that up today, along with a bunch of other goodies - shoes, shimmery lotions, purses, and more!!! HAUL TO COME!
im so in love with this ring, it reminds me of when I was little and I felt beautiful in those 50cent gumball machine plastic rings. Lol it makes me happy ::super cheesy smile::
